Streaming / Video Editing

My son really wants to stream on YouTube.  He asks pretty much everyday. Given that he is  7 going on 8, my wife and I aren't really keen on the idea.  The happy-medium though is letting him record his gameplay, then I upload it to YouTube. This way we retain some "creative control" of what he's doing and saying.

Of course this also means I just became a video editor overnight. I'm actually rendering out the first video as I write this post.  I picked up DaVinci Resolve (free version) and stumbled my way through how to use it.  If I did things correctly, I was able to cut out some of his audio that was irrelevant, adjust the audio levels overall to turn the game volume down and the voice volume up, and insert a text overlay to correct something he said. That's pretty good for never using the software before if I do say so myself.
